If you believe October is all about the costumes and the candy, you’ve come to the right place. We’ve rounded up a list of Halloween events from trick or treating to costume contests and more happening this month in Oklahoma City and beyond that are all about the tricks and treats. Haunt in Harrah at Wind Drift Orchards

18499 NE 50th St, Harrah

Features a paintball bus that travels through a haunted orchard. Travelers are armed with glow-in-the-dark paintballs. Other activities include a haunted house and carnival games. $29 & up. 7 p.m.-midnight.

Tombstone Tales in Enid

201 W Owen K Garriott, Enid

Features a hayride tour through the Enid Cemetery. Re-enactment characters portray historic personalities who once lived in the Enid area, telling their unique, true stories. $15. 6-8:30 p.m.


Oct. 5-27

Haunt the Zoo at the Oklahoma City Zoo

2101 NE 50th St, OKC

Features themed booths displaying an array of family-friendly decorations and elaborate props, perfect for capturing photo moments and collecting treats from candy stations located along the Haunt the Zoo trail. Costumes encouraged. Adults can dress up too but nothing too scary, please. Zoo admission applies. Trick-or-treat bags, $8; members, $7. Saturday & Sunday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

FREE Ghouls Night LIVE on the Plaza in the Plaza District

1700 block of NW 16th St, OKC

Features a Halloween block party with pumpkin painting, costume contest, live entertainment and more. 6-10 p.m.


Oct. 12

Curiousiday – Dynamic Decay at Sam Noble Museum

2401 Chautauqua Ave, Norman

Learn about the hidden processes that sustain life, even in its final moments. Uncover the amazing ways nature recycles and learn how decomposition keeps our environment thriving. Free with admission. 10 a.m.-4 p.m.


Oct. 17

Haunt the Harn at Harn Homestead

1721 N Lincoln Blvd, OKC

Features an outdoor trick-or-treating event with old-fashioned games and crafts. Friendly costumes are encouraged. $8 in advance; $10 at the door. 6:30-8:30 p.m.


Oct. 18

FREE Outdoor Movie Series at Lions Park

405 S Flood Ave, Norman

Features an outdoor screening of Hocus Pocus. Arrive early for art activities presented by the Firehouse House Arts Center. The movie will begin at sundown.


Oct. 18-19

Haunted House at the NW Optimist Recreation Center

3301 NW Grand Blvd, OKC

Features a walk-thru haunted house. $3. 6:30-9 p.m.


Oct. 18-26 & 30

History and Haunts at the Overholser Mansion

405 NW 15th St, OKC

See the home in its nighttime splendor, learn the history of the house and its former occupants, and discover why some say they are still roaming the halls. Space is limited. $20. Friday, 5-8 p.m. Also held on Oct. 30.


Oct. 18-31

HallowMarine at the Oklahoma Aquarium

300 Aquarium Dr, Jenks

Features indoor trick-or-treating for kids of all ages. Guests can follow the Trick-or-Treat trail for candy and see marine life in the surrounding exhibits. Dress up in your best Halloween costume for a chance to win prizes. $19.95-$24.95. 6:30-9 p.m.

FREE Halloween Story Time & Costume Parade at Edmond Library

10 S Boulevard, Edmond

Features a special Halloween-themed storytime followed by a festive parade around the library. 10-11 a.m.


Oct. 20

Delmar Bites Trick or Treat at Delmar Gardens Food Truck Park

1225 SW 2nd St, OKC

Features food trucks, games, live music and trick-or-treating. Food trucks and vendors will be passing out treats. Free to attend. Noon-5 p.m.

Spooky Pooch Parade at Myriad Gardens

301 W Reno Ave

Features dog costume contest and parade. Preregister to participate. Spectators welcome! Members, $5 per dog; nonmembers, $10 per dog. 3-4 p.m.
