By New Covenant United Methodist Church

Even though many of your family’s favorite events and activities have likely been canceled, there are still so many ways to celebrate. We’ve rounded up dozens of ideas to help you spread cheer while at home. Dye your eggs and get the baskets ready! It’s Easter time in Oklahoma City!

This list is generously sponsored by New Covenant United Methodist Church. New Covenant is offering online worship services this Easter.

Fun ideas from our readers:

“My kids are getting really into gardening so we picked up a whole mess of different sunflower seeds and will be learning together all about how to plant and care for them.” – Kiera
We took a few days to mourn when school, sports and activities were officially cancelled, and now back to the positives. We will decorate and do some gardening this week. Make Easter/Spring crafts, read Easter books and bible stories and watch Easter movies leading up to the holiday. We always have an egg hunt in our backyard. I think we can still make all of that work! We usually include family and friends for most of that. This year it will have to be more intimate, and we will find other ways to celebrate with family.” – Leesa
“Front lawn egg hunt. We are filling eggs for our 2 and 5 year old :)” – Nina
“Gonna fill plastic eggs with battery operated tea lights and have a night time Easter egg hunt.” – Alisha
