  • Zoorassic World: Frozen in Time is an immersive, temporary exhibit featuring more than 25 life-sized animatronic dinosaurs from the Permian, Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods, plus the giants of the Ice Age in natural vignettes. The lifelike dinosaurs incorporate both movement and sound to give guests a realistic experience.

  • Harkins Theatre will again have its annual kids’ movie program offering family-favorite films. Individual tickets are available the day of the show for $2 each. Doors open at 9 a.m. and all shows begin at 9:45 a.m. with movies running every weekday through Friday, July 25.   • Features a nature-themed storytime, interactive song and small craft. Books are selected based on the season. Walkups welcome.   • Features stories, songs, rhymes, crafts, and lots of fun for kids ages 3 to preschool in a class-like setting. Preregister. Space is limited to 30 participants per program time. Children must attend without a caregiver. Two sessions: 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Classes last 45 minutes.

  • Crafts and Tales is a weekly program for young children and families that is held every Wednesday at 11 a.m. Visitors are invited to enjoy a short story in the Discovery Room, then take part in a crafting activity. Crafts and Tales is a free activity included with the cost of admission. All crafting materials are provided by the museum for no charge.
