On Monday, August 24, 2026, the community is invited to a free screening of Disney Pixar's Cars at the iconic Tower Theatre, located on Historic NW 23rd Street in Oklahoma City. The film — a beloved story set along the Mother Road — is the perfect selection to honor the Route 66 Centennial and the spirit of community that defines the Uptown 23rd District. The second installment of our movie night will take place in September and will feature Grease, with a third installment to follow in October.

Doors open at 5:00 PM. The film begins at 6:00 PM. Admission is free with RSVP.

To further elevate the evening in Uptown, attendees are encouraged to arrive early and dine at one of the district's many restaurants before the film begins. Tower Theatre is generously allowing outside food from Uptown 23rd district restaurants for the event. Outside beverages are not permitted.

Donations collected at the event will directly benefit the Uptown 23rd Mural Fund, supporting maintenance and beautification of public art along the historic corridor.
