Christina Mushi-Brunt
Christina Brunt is a former professor turned freelance writer and public health research consultant. She and her family transplanted from Indiana to Oklahoma in 2015. They reside in the Moore community. Among the various hats Christina wears, her favorite is basketball/dance mom to her and her husband’s three middle- & high-school-aged kids.
Debbie Murnan
Debbie lives in Edmond with her husband, two sons and a very fluffy Great Pyrenees named Max. She is an optometrist at Variety Care and is passionate about improving access to healthcare both near and far, so she enjoys volunteering her eye care skills regularly with Skyline Urban Ministry in OKC and with Health Talents International in Guatemala. When she’s not at work, she loves running, hiking, reading with her kids, and traveling across the country, especially to the National Parks, with her family. Debbie has won multiple Parenting Media Association awards for her travel writing and photography in MetroFamily.
Tim Willert
Tim Willert is a freelance writer and adjunct instructor who previously worked as a reporter for The Okahoman and as an editor of The Norman Transcript. He lives in Norman with his wife, Jennifer, and their two children.
Umo Callins
With over 15 years of experience, Umo is a registered dietitian and fitness coach who specializes in wellness and sports. She owns and operates her private practice, Well Rooted Health and Nutrition in Oklahoma City. Additionally, she co-owns 180Physique Athletics, a sports performance and sports nutrition business with her husband, James. Umo enjoys contributing to advancing the field of nutrition and wellness and is passionate about helping her clients improve their quality of life and athletic performance as well as creating opportunities for other professionals to learn and grow. Umo is a proud mother of three kids, one girl and two boys, that keep her busy. Spending time with her husband and kids is what she enjoys the most. Michael Dickerson
Michael is a mental health professional with 13+ years of experience, including working at the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services for a decade and serving on the Association of Training and Development Board. He’s also a seasoned trainer, keynote speaker and entrepreneur who founded and currently runs the Dickerson Consulting Group, The Spillover Effect podcast and the LinkedIn newsletter Open Mike. His ultimate mission? To help leaders create a culture of well-being so employees can uncover their strengths, find meaning and flourish at work.

Skye Latimer
Skye is vice president of innovation for We the People Consulting, where she shares her expertise in marketing, DEI, social media and community building. She is a founding member of Black Women Voices Oklahoma, as well as the founding chairperson for Equity Brewing Company’s Trust. She serves on the boards of the East End Business Development District, Abbott House Child Advocacy Center and Juneteenth on the East. She and her husband and son live in Norman. Kay & Rex Robinson
Kay Robinson is the assistant vice president of student affairs at the University of Central Oklahoma. She has been active in Leadership OKC, Leadership Edmond, and served on the board of Infant Crisis Services. Kay and Rex became a foster family after being inspired by a series in MetroFamily, and they currently have their fifth placement. Rex is second grader who loves to tell jokes, play sports, dance and swim. He is a 2023 Cover Kid (find him on the March/April issue!), plus you’ll see him promoting MetroFamily contests and events.
