Artistic Director Ryan Jolicoeur-Nye's production of The Nutcracker for Oklahoma City Ballet is a vibrant reimagining of the holiday classic that blends traditional magic with fresh, whimsical twists. Debuting to rave reviews in 2024, this lavish production features challenging choreography, cinematic sets, and over 195 handcrafted costumes designed by some of the industry's top artisans.

Every performance features Tchaikovsky's timeless score played by OKCPHIL, with live vocals from Canterbury Youth Voices during the Snow Scene. A sensory-friendly performance in partnership with Autism Oklahoma for families seeking a relaxed theater environment will take place on Monday, December 21 at 2:00 p.m.

ACCOMMODATIONS FOR THESE PERFORMANCES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

• Adjusted lighting and sound
• Lower sound levels throughout the performance
• A reduction of strobe lighting and lighting focused on the audience
• House lights will remain on (at a low level) in the theatre auditorium during the performance
• No live orchestra
• No pyrotechnics

RELAXED THEATER RULES:

• Guests are free to talk, leave their seats, and move freely during the performance
• We will offer a designated safe/quiet area within the lobby with fidgets and earplugs available
• Allowed use of iPads and other electronics for therapeutic uses

The Civic Center Music Hall is ADA-accessible and offers additional services.
