Features family-friendly activities inspired by the exhibitions on display. Immerse yourself in the history of the American West with engaging new exhibits, hands-on activities and interactive storytelling.
- March 17: Boot Movement - Design your own boots and make quick-draw copies through the art of printmaking, then brighten up your day by creating a boot suncatcher.
- March 18: Ag Day - Create colorful beaded corn, call the farm animals home with your own cowbell instrument, and make a lamb headband.
- March 19: Boots & Beyond - Stamp a design into a leather boot keychain and create your own boot planter.
- March 20: High Noon Games - Test your luck at rodeo bingo and a chance to win the Western cake walk. Jump into a game of giant horseshoes while you explore Liichokoshokomo’.
- March 21: Native Artistry - Create a unique bookmark inspired by ribbon work. Try your hand at different types of weaving, paint a story on faux animal hide, and settle in for story time at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
- March 22: Kids Take Over The Cowboy - Explore the new exhibition Cowboy Boots from Roundups to Runways, complete with a scavenger hunt and be inspired by the many different styles and colors of boots. Then, kids can create their own canvas of colorful footwear and meet a cast of characters straight out of the American West, including Teddy Roosevelt, Abraham Lincoln and Annie Oakley.
