Oklahoma City is abuzz with springtime fun this Easter, with activities that offer something for everyone.
Here are five ways to celebrate springtime this weekend.
- Step into a living storybook at Harn Homestead. In partnership with Storyteller Theatre, Fairytale Farms invites you to follow along with Little Red and her well-known friends, the three little pigs, Goldie Locks, Mother Goose and more. But watch out for wolves, witches and mischief along the way! Tickets are $15 for guests over age 3. Friday’s show will include an Easter egg hunt.
- All aboard the Easter Bunny Express! Train enthusiasts can enjoy a festive train ride, Easter egg hunt, scavenger hunt, mini golf and more at the Oklahoma Railway Museum on Saturday. Trains depart throughout the day from 9:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Advance ticket purchase is recommended.
- Stroll amongst the thousands of blooms during the second annual Tulip Festival at Myriad Gardens on Saturday & Sunday! There will also be creative displays, vendors, live entertainment and activities for kids. The Easter bunny will be at the festival posing for photos from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sessions must be booked in advance.
- Squeeze in some farm fun at Easter on the Prairie at Mollie Spencer Farm on Saturday. Say hello to baby bunnies, chicks and lamb, watch dance performances, gunfighters and blacksmiths, hunt Easter eggs and more. The egg hunts will take place at 11 a.m. & 1 p.m and admission is free.
- Celebrate the coming of spring at Oklahoma’s largest Holi Festival at Mitch Park on Saturday from 2-5 p.m. with color throws, Bollywood music and live entertainment. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for kids 13 & under. To add to the fun, there will be an Easter egg hunt at 2 p.m.
