Ultimate Summer Fun Necessities

Reading Time: 5 minutes

MetroFamily is all about FUN for families, so we’re highlighting a few of our favorite items. Make “on the go” easier this season! Plus, check out a few driving-distance destinations for the best summer yet. Celebrate togetherness with new adventures!

With their lightweight, seamless design, high-quality components and child-specific geometry, woom bikes are designed to give children the perfect introduction to riding a bike and spark a life-long passion for cycling. The woom balance bike encourages young riders to throw training wheels out the window and instead start with a balance bike to learn fundamental skills like balancing, steering and braking.

Don’t forget to protect your little one’s noggin! The woom Kids’ Bike Helmet has extended protection for the forehead, temples, and back of the head, an easy-to-use magnetic closure system, optimal ventilation, and a perfect fit thanks to interchangeable pads and a size-adjustment dial.

Perfect for a family picnic or day outside, this outdoor blanket is water-resistant, easy to clean, durable and compact for every family adventure.  These outdoor blankets are not only adorable but easily portable, too! The blanket folds up into a perfect package shape complete with a carry handle, shoulder strap, and zipper pocket.

The John Deere Ground Force takes outdoor play excitement to the next level! Kids will delight in listening to the radio while driving the large John Deere Ground Force Tractor with its extra large stake-side detachable trailer. Too bad it can’t really mow the lawn!

Tiny Traveler Classic

Tiny Traveler is this year’s must-have HD digital device, a wireless camera monitoring system for travel and home use. The device can be brought out of the car quickly and efficiently when you reach your destination, like at the grandparents’ house, at hotels, or while visiting friends. Parents can keep an eye on the road while Tiny Traveler captures the kiddo’s every move so you always keep sight of what’s happening with a clear camera view. It relieves the anxiety for new parents traveling for the first time with their infants, establishing a safe routine that calms baby, mom, and dad.

The Highlights Big Book of Activities for Little Kids includes over 200 screen-free activities for ages 3-6. Kids and grown-ups can use everyday household items to make lasting memories while they banish boredom and get the wiggles out. This is this perfect activity for long road trips!

Water Magic is an activity book that is perfect for travel days in the car or on the plane. Fill the brush with water and apply it to the scene boards to watch the colors magically appear! Let it dry for 5 minutes and you can do it over and over again. The brush is scented to match the theme of the book too! It’s no-mess activity to end the question, “Are we there yet?”
