Top Latino-Owned Businesses in OKC for Hispanic Heritage Month

Did you know Latinos are the fastest-growing segment of new entrepreneurs, with one in four new businesses being Hispanic owned? This shows great growth for Hispanic businesses, and as Oklahomans we have some amazing Hispanic owned businesses right here in our backyard. I love Oklahoma, and as a Hispanic-owned company, I am so grateful for the people of this city and state who, together with local businesses, continue to make our state great. Sept. 15 through Oct. 15 is Hispanic Heritage Month in OKC, and as we celebrate, check out 4 of my favorite local Latino-owned businesses:

  1. Que Bella Bakery — Oklahoma’s Premier Gluten-Free BakeryIf you are gluten-free or know someone who is, then this is the place for you. We are a completely gluten-free bakery specializing in gluten-free desserts. We also accommodate dairy-free and vegan customers by providing daily dessert options for these allergies. My goal at Que Bella Bakery is to provide someone who is living with food allergies with the same experiences as others without the fear of being ill. I believe no matter the occasion, you can have gluten-free treats that are moist, beautiful and most of all delicious. We have cake slices and cookies available daily, as well as custom cakes to be ordered ahead of time and picked up in-store. Next time you want a delicious treat, visit us in downtown Oklahoma City. We can’t wait to bake for you! @QueBellaBakery, 617 W.Sheridan Ave., OKC
  2. Tizo’s Pops – A Taste of Mexico in OKC
This is one of my favorite places for a yummy snack. Tizo’s Pops is a family-owned business that has the best ice cream and popsicles in Oklahoma City. They have more than 80 popsicle flavors and lots of snacks to choose from.Their goal is for people to feel like they travel through time and discover what Mexico tastes like. I absolutely love this shop, and they have such a sweet and inviting staff. My favorite popsicle is strawberries and cream. For your next refreshing treat stop by and visit them.@tizospops, 5125 S. Western Ave., OKC
  3. Vida Bars — Eco-Friendly Hair Care from a Latina-Owned Company
If you need an environmentally conscious hair care brand, then I have the place for you. Vida Bars is a Latina-owned textured hair care company. The owner and founder started this company from her kitchen in hopes of making hair care more sustainable and better for the environment. With many plastic bottles of shampoo used and discarded daily, Ana’s solution to this problem is Vida Bars. She has shampoo and conditioner bars for any type of textured hair, and it is one of my favorite products. Her products can be found online or in store at The Refillery in The Plaza District.@thevidabars, The Refillery, 1757 NW 16th St., OKC
  4. AAA Kopy — Your Go-To Hispanic-Owned Printing Shop
I love this shop! This is my one-stop shop for all my printing needs. AAA Kopy is a Hispanic-family-owned printing shop. They specialize in printing everything you may need for your home, class, birthday, parties or businesses. AAA Kopy always has great options and delivers a beautiful product.
