Smart Start Central Oklahoma (SSCO) will provide Early Birds, a school readiness program for parents, in February in partnership with Oklahoma City Public School districts. Parents must live within the school district to attend these classes. A full list of dates, times and locations is below.
Early Birds will provide parents information and free resources, including educational toys and books to help stimulate their child’s development and build the skills they need to be successful in school. In addition to a strong emphasis on social and emotional development, class topics include everyday learning opportunities, discipline and community resources available to parents.
The classes target parents with children ages birth to 5 years old, and those expecting a baby. The 90-minute program is free, and child care is available.
