"This summer I completed my last radiation treatment on 6/27/12 and learned that life goes on After recovering from a 20+ hour surgery to remove a tumor in my face in March 2012, my radiation started at the beginning of May and continued thru June. I have never been more thankful for time with my daughter and family as I am now!
In July, after recovering a bit from radiation, we took a family vacation with my parents, sister, and my husband and daughter to celebrate my radiation being over and life beginning again. I still look different from the surgery and have a giant bald spot on the back of my hair but have never been more glad then to be able to whine about such small stuff.
Life is good and I will get to be there for my husband's birthday this month, Christmas with my family and my daughter's 4th birthday next year! This summer will always be the summer in which I was given the best gift of all…time."
