MetroFamily is excited to announce that Brooke Barnett has stepped up from the assistant editor position to become MetroFamily's newest editor. Since 2010, Brooke has eagerly worked to enhance our readers' lives by helping with our print publication and being in charge of our website, social media and e-newsletters. No easy task for sure but Brooke has always worked with passion and talent to make sure MetroFamily readers were up to speed on all things "family" in OKC. Now, Brooke will be in charge of our entire content suite and we couldn't be more excited.
Brooke came to MetroFamily with several years experience in public relations, marketing and development for the Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History, Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma and the Oklahoma Alliance for Geographic Education at the University of Oklahoma. Starting as a writer with MetroFamily in 2009, she quickly was tapped to become our assistant editor, handling MetroFamily's website content, social media presence and other projects. Since arriving, she has helped MetroFamily win many awards from the Parenting Media Association, including Gold Awards for our website and e-newsletter, as well as awards for her own stories.
Please welcome Brooke as the new editor of MetroFamily!
