Reading Time: < 1 minute

Oklahoma City’s first Keep It Local Day will take place metro-wide on Saturday, May 5th.

Citizens of the Oklahoma City community are being asked to dine and shop locally from sun up to sun down on Saturday, May 5th. Several local merchants in the Oklahoma City metro are offering special incentives for Keep It Local Day while others are promoting that they are a local merchant in the OKC metro.

The official Keep It Local OK Card has a listing of all Keep It Local merchants on their website, keepitlocalok.com.  Also, the Keep It Local OK Facebook page has a listing of special events taking place with local merchants. One does not have to have a Keep It Local OK card to participate in Keep It Local Day, however, the incentives of the Keep It Local OK card are an encouragement to obtain one.

Keep It Local Day is dedicated to enhancing Oklahoma City by supporting locally owned and operated businesses that make our city great. Help keep local dollars in Oklahoma City by helping promote Keep It Local Day, Saturday, May 5th.

Some events that are taking place on Saturday, May 5th are:

  • Special Saturday Brunch taking place at Rococo’s Northpark location
  • Rumble, the local Thunder Mascot will be at the Shoppes at Northpark at 3:15
  • Wine and Palette, a local painting class will be teaching a special Keep It Local Day class, see wineandpalette.com
