Are you one of the many Oklahomans interested in quilting? The Food for Body and Soul quilt contest is accepting entries through June 30. The standard size for entries is 22” x 22”, though all sizes will be accepted. There is no fee for entry, though $10 postage should be included if participants want quilts returned. Unreturned quilts will be donated to charity.
Submitted quilts will be featured in a traveling exhibit and also displayed online. Prizes will be awarded in several categories and full contest information may be found at heavenlypatchwork.com.
All entries will be given a copy of 1905 Cookbook for Body and Soul (Dorcas Publishing, $14.95) by Judy Steiger Howard, which is also available for purchase. The 1905 Cookbook features recipes, photos and printed advertisements from the early 20th century, accented with scripture and offering modern readers a chance to enjoy a slice of pioneer life.
