Get in the Game: Read OKC

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Oklahoma City Public School students grades K-6 can earn prizes for their summer reading! ReadOKC’s “Get in the Game” reading program encourages students to grab their favorite books and get reading! The goal is to read 20 minutes a day for a total of 1,200 minutes over the summer. Students that reach this lofty goal will be rewarded at a celebration assembly this fall at each OKCPS elementary school with award medals, gift cards for books and more prizes from SONIC and the OKC Dodgers.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Grab a book! From the library, your house, online, or swap books with a friend.
  2. Use the ReadOKC Reading Log to track minutes.
  3. Turn your completed reading log in to your teacher by August 1.
  4. Win prizes!

Be sure to follow the directions on the reading log to turn in the same log to receive SONIC Reading for the Stars prizes.
