To honor their own loss of a child and bring healing to others, several Oklahoma artists are showcasing their work at a new show.

You & Me: The Art of Grief and Joy After Loss will feature works by seven women who have been impacted personally by miscarriage or infant loss. The free event will be held at The Social Club in coordination with the Arts District’s 3rd Fridays event and National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. The goal of the show is to combat the silence and stigma surrounding such loss.

In addition to viewing artwork, attendees will have an opportunity to join in the Wave of Light, which takes place Oct. 15th as a way for bereaved parents, families and friends around the globe to commemorate the loss of a child. At 7 p.m., those who wish to participate will be provided a candle to light.
