Description
Head to the Wetland’s Walkway to learn more about the turtle species that call the Zoo home with caretaker chats, a Turtle Eye Spy game and a radio telemetry activity for finding turtles. The Oklahoma Zoological Society is celebrating fifty fun years of Max, the Galapagos tortoise, who came to live at the Zoo half a century ago. Those who make a $50 donation to conservation will be entered into a drawing for a four-pack of tickets to a Galapagos tortoise Wild Encounter worth $200.
On Saturday, Zoo guests will receive a free water bottle courtesy of Shape Your Future, a program of TSET, while supplies last. Water bottles will be given away beginning at 9 a.m. as guests enter the park. World Turtle Day activities are free with regular admission.
