Description
Features a longhorn parade, authentic chuckwagons, live music, a kids' corral and more. The Slash O' Ranch Longhorns will kick off the event at 10 a.m. by parading down the street. They will begin at the iconic Oklahoma National Stockyards archway on Exchange. Located adjacent to the National Saddlery Arena, there will be a petting zoo, pony rides, face painting and dummy roping.
An authentic Chuck Wagon camp will be set up where you can view demonstrations of traditional cooking. At noon, samplings of cobbler, stew, cornbread and more will be on hand. The Corral stage will feature live music by many talented entertainers. A Made in Oklahoma Market will include locally made and produced items.
Oklahoma’s Best Beef Competition will begin at 11 a.m. Beef producers from across the state will be competing for the coveted prize. If you would like to sample and vote on your favorite, wristbands are $25. Proceeds benefit the Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Foundation.
