Erin Merryn, survivor of child sexual abuse and founder of Erin’s Law will be the featured speaker at the CARE Center’s annual Stand Up For Kids luncheon. Oklahoma County Commissioner Carrie Blumert will emcee the event, which is held annually to raise awareness and funds for The CARE Center’s education programs. CARE’s adult education program, Recognizing and Reporting, helps adults learn the signs of child abuse and teaches them how to make reports of abuse or neglect. The CARE Center’s child education program, ROAR, teaches children ages 4-8 about body safety and how to speak up to protect themselves.
