The Red Fern Festival is inspired by the renowned novel, "Where the Red Fern Grows," set in Tahlequah. Focused on old fashion fun, the festival features hound dog field trials, children's activities, a car show, live music and more.

Attendees can also tour some of the famous locations from the novel.

Festivities begin Friday at noon and continues Saturday, 9 a.m. - 8 p.m.
