This event, designed for pet owners and animal lovers alike, offers an exciting lineup of activities, expert resources and low-cost services. The festival runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., beginning with a shelter dog walk.

Attendees can enjoy a variety of free activities, including yoga with puppies, live music, trick-or-treating for children, arts and crafts, face painting, pet agility demonstrations and a pet costume contest. Food trucks will be available for humans throughout the event.

OKC Animal Welfare will waive adoption fees for dogs throughout October. There will be adoptable dogs at Dogtober Festival. Cat adoption fees will also be waived at the OKC Animal Shelter for one day only: Oct. 19.
