Description

Features an entertaining performance with Lucas Ross, plus an instrument playground, banjo workshops, banjo crafts and more. Ross has been with the banjo museum officially since 2018 and in addition to his role at the museum provides banjo tracks for Disney’s THE MUPPETS STUDIO, recently playing live for Kermit as he duetted
with Willie Nelson.

Admission is free for kids 15 and under, and half price for adults.

11 a.m. - DOORS OPEN
11:30 a.m. - Lucas Ross' BANJO FARM Live Show • Upstairs Event Room
Lucas brings his unique brand of comedy and music for families to the American Banjo Museum stage featuring puppets, audience participation, original songs, and lots of banjo! Following the show is ‘Build-a-Banjo’ where audiences will be able to decorate and build their own paper banjos to take home!
1:30 p.m. - Youth Showcase • Upstairs Event Room
                A handful of performers between 12 and 14 years old will take the stage!
2:15 p.m. - Lucas Ross' BANJO FARM Live Show • Upstairs Event Room
Another chance to see Lucas’ all-ages comedy/music/puppet show! Followed again by ‘Build a Banjo.’
Throughout the day will be various craft, workshop and hands-on music opportunities including:
11 a.m. – 3 p.m. - Oklahoma Opry’s Instrument Choral – kids get a hands-on chance to play different kinds of instruments.
11 a.m. – 3 p.m. - Beginner Banjo Workshops – museum volunteers will guide participants in basic banjo playing and skills.
There will also be free face-painting from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. as well as Metro Family Magazine’s Craft Corner from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
