Description
Features a series of events for the community during National Libraries Week including a fundraising dinner that benefits the Library Endowment Trust and brings a renowned author to the Oklahoma City Metro. All proceeds from Literary Voices® 2024 will benefit the creation of our fund for early childhood literacy in Oklahoma County, a joint project with the Friends of the Library.
Schedule:
- April 7, 1 p.m.: Kwame Alexander - Hear from this regular NPR contributor and New York Times Bestselling author.
- April 9, 7 p.m.: James Patterson - Listen to one of America’s best-loved authors and receive a copy of his new book, The Secret Lives of Booksellers and Librarians (release date April 8, 2024). Conversation with James Patterson will be moderated by Roberta Fields.
- April 11, 6 p.m.: Kevin Kwan - Celebrate Literary Voices® and public libraries at our signature fundraising dinner. Conversation with Kevin Kwan will be moderated by Jacqueline Sit.
