International Red Panda Day at the OKC Zoo

Description

Learn what the Zoo is doing to protect red pandas and their habitat, and ways you can help. Presented locally by Bob Moore Subaru, International Red Panda Day activities are happening near the red panda habitat at Sanctuary Asia from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and include kid activities with prizes, photo opportunities presented by Bob Moore Subaru, Facebook live videos and more.

Schedule:

  • Kids Activities with Prizes: Event-goers 11 and under will have opportunity to learn about red pandas through interactive activities: PANDAmonium Plunk and Red Panda Ranger challenges.
  • Photo Opportunities, hosted by Bob Moore Subaru.
  • Conservation Education Station.
  • Red Panda Conservation Wristbands.
  • Facebook Live Chats: Tune in here, Facebook, for special live streams featuring the Zoo’s carnivore caretaker experts.
    • Caretaker Conservation Chat, 9:30 a.m.: Red Panda Training Session
    • Caretaker Conservation Chat, 12 p.m.: Red Panda Enrichment Opportunity

Attendees are encouraged to wear red on International Red Panda Day and show their support for these incREDible animals. Event activities are free with Zoo admission.
