Features a timeless celebration from German and American folklore. Enjoy the sounds of cannons and guns blasting, story-telling, historians in period clothing and chance to meet an Old-World Santa Claus. Refreshments will be served in Chapel basement following celebration. Quite literally a blast from the past, Fort Reno Christmas Guns is a tradition brought here by German immigrants. The discharging of firearms such as cannons and guns was believed to dispel evil spirits in preparation for the upcoming holiday.

Attendees can also visit the historical museums on Fort Reno for a small admission fee.
