Winter and holidays! The time when a girl’s thoughts turn to all things warm, cozy and traditional. Like perhaps a sleigh ride?
The new anthology of the same name features short stories by seven writers that all tackle the idea of a “sleigh ride” from their own perspectives. The end result has something for everyone. Available in e-book (for both Kindle and Nook, $4.95) and print format (paperback, $12.95), with sales benefitting a national domestic abuse prevention fund via Alpha Chi Omega foundation, so you can feel good about your purchase. The stories range from adventuresome to romantic and all points in between.
The anthology features writers Samantha Wilde ("Monks and Musicians"), Maria Geraci ("Noche Buena"), Jenny Peterson (“Fairy Lights”), Megan Barlog (“The Escape”), Dani Stone (“No Place Like Home”), Maggie Marr (“Dashing Through the Snow”) and Malena Lott ("Snowflakes and Stones"). You truly have never realized how diverse the thought of a sleigh ride can be!
“The authors could write anything – any genre or tone or time period, but it needed to have a sleigh ride somewhere in the story,” said novelist Malena Lott. She thought of the idea last winter, knowing she wanted it to be released for the fall of 2011. “I immediately asked some girlfriend authors if they wanted to be involved and also opened it up to new authors, as well.” A call for authors went out on the Buzz Books website.
Sleigh Ride is the first multi-author project produced by Buzz Books USA, which was created by Rod Lott and Malena Lott in 2011 to publish passion projects in print, e-book and audiobook formats. Currently there are several categories seeking submissions that may be found on the Buzz Books website.
