Presented by Dental Depot, MetroFamily Magazine’s Cover Kids Search is here again! Each year MetroFamily Magazine searches for local kids (ages 4 to 12) with big smiles and bright personalities to grace our monthly magazine covers.
We’ll select one winner from each category for a professional photo shoot to be on our covers in 2026. To enter, simply upload a photo, complete the about me section, and submit the $10 entry fee from July 17-Aug. 31, 2025. Voting begins September 1 – September 10 and finalists will undergo a virtual interview with our Personality Panel.

- The chance to star on one of MetroFamily’s covers. Cover Kids will enjoy a fun photo shoot with our talented family lifestyle photographer, FotoArts Photography. Your cover photo shoot includes hand-picked outfits and accessories to make you feel like a superstar. Cover Kids Winners will receive a high-resolution image of their selected cover, a pdf of their full cover with image and text overlay, an optional photo gallery for up to 10 images (for an added fee), and 20% discount on future Family Photo Package. Submit your child or sibling photo by the deadline of August 31 to enter our Cover Kids Search.

- Zoom Interviews with an engaging local personality panel. The “virtual interview” portion of Cover Kids Search is really just a one-on-one conversation with a community member who will be thrilled to meet your child. Kids get an opportunity to introduce themselves and talk about the activities they enjoy, a great learning experience to present themselves to an audience who’s rooting for their success. Whether kids are outgoing or a bit shy, our panelists will make them feel right at home.
- An opportunity to be involved in MetroFamily events and promotion. Our Cover Kids stars are invited to various MetroFamily events throughout the year and receive special recognition. They often have the opportunity to help us get the word out about upcoming events in the community.
