First Americans Museum will host their monthly AT&T Sunday event with even more special activities for families. Every third Sunday of the month, kids 4-12 get free admission to the museum galleries. On Sunday, June 16, the museum will also provide additional family fun from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. for Sunday Fun Day. Families will enjoy:

  1. Stickball Showdown. Learn more about the First American traditional sport of Stickball, including skills and strategy.
  2. Naki’ Lomi Guessing Game. Try your hand at this hands-on guessing game that requires a great memory and quick reflexes.
  3. Quiz Show. How many answers about First American Tribal Nations and cultures can you get correct? Can you beat your family members?!
  4. Museum Tour. Take a family tour with a museum docent to experience the rich histories of the 39 distinctive First American Nations in Oklahoma today. Families will discover cultural diversity, history and First American contributions first hand, plus be able to ask questions.

The fun and games will be held from noon to 12:45 p.m. and again from 3 to 3:45 p.m. Museum tours will be held from 1 to 1:45 p.m. Food trucks will also be onsite and the museum Café will be open.

Check out the exhibits you’ll want to be sure to see as a family by your kids’ ages. While there, don’t miss a walk through Chef Loretta’s Garden, supported by Shape Your Future, a program of TSET. And check out the children’s programs, like FAMcamps, which offer unique opportunities explore Indigenous music, culture and more.
