When my kids were younger, the New Year’s Eve dilemma was that they couldn’t stay up until midnight. They’ve gotten older, and so have I, so I think I’m now the one who wants to go to bed early!
Either way, the OKC metro offers families plenty of opportunities to count down to the last noon of the year so you don’t have to stay up so late!
- Celebrate Noon Year’s Eve Eve at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art on Saturday, Dec. 30 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Enjoy scavenger hunts, art activities, refreshments and a balloon drop at noon. You can also tour the galleries to see all the fabulous art. Plus, the MetroFamily team will be on hand with our crown craft and we’d love to meet you! Adults are $17, seniors are $15 and kids 17 and under are free.
- Also on Saturday, both the Moore and Midwest City library locations are hosting Noon Year’s Eve parties. The Moore Rockin’ Noon Year’s Eve Dance Party is from 11 a.m. to noon and features a craft, music, dancing and a balloon drop at noon. The Midwest City Noon Year’s Eve Countdown Party is from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and includes crafts and a balloon drop. Both of these events are FREE.
- Head to Seminole to the Jasmine Moran Children’s Museum’s Noon Year’s Eve Celebration on Sunday, Dec. 31. The event is from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and will feature festive crafts, science experiments, refreshments and a countdown with balloon drop, music and dancing. The event is free with museum admission. Ages 3-59 are $10, 60 & over are $9; and 2 & under are free.
