The Harn Homestead is a ten acre property that maintains the original Harn House and family Farmhouse as well as five other historic buildings on the property. The Harn Homestead staff collaborates with public, private, and homeschool educators to present hands-on field trip programming by reservation throughout the year as well as offering tours of the grounds and buildings in the afternoon when educational programming has concluded, or throughout the hours of operation if no field trip program has been scheduled.
In addition, the Harn Homestead presents quarterly weekend and evening events to allow more families to experience the grounds and buildings. These events include the springtime Alice Harn Art Show, the summertime Picnic on the Prairie, and Haunt the Harn in October.
