Snow cones, shaved ice or snow balls, whatever you call these tasty treats, they’re certainly a summer staple. Oklahoma City is full of huts and stands that serve these sweet treats to hot customers throughout the summer months, and we’ve asked our readers to share their absolute favorite places to pick up these icy snacks. Dozens of Facebook fans threw in their picks for the top snow cone stand and we rounded up the top recommendations for you.

Summer Snow Entertainment (1325 N. Janeway, Moore) is a top snow cone destination known for one-of-a-kind flavors like Boomer Sooner & Pistol Pete.

Tasty Snow (multiple locations in Midwest City & Del City) is a family-owned business popular among kids for flavors like Ninja Turtle and sought after by adults for their coffee snow cones.

Katiebugs Sips & Sweets started as a food truck that traveled all over the metro area serving up its tasty shaved ice snacks. The food truck can still be found around the metro, but Katiebugs has a permanent location in downtown Oklahoma City at 7 NW 9th Street.

Trailer Trash Treatz (multiple locations) keeps fans coming back again and again with more than 250 flavors and five locations around the Metro.

Aloha Shave Ice & Coffee Shoppe (8000 N.W. 39th Expy, Bethany) is known for their shaved ice, but they also serve granitas, specialty coffees and snacks.

Shimmers (year-round locations at 51st & MacArthur in Oklahoma City and Danforth & Bryant in Edmond) features traditional snow cones along with smoothies, frappes and protein shakes.

Ice-alicious Snow (25 W Memorial Rd) serves up “shaved ice as soft as snow,” topping their tasty creations with pure cane sugar syrups, fresh fruit, candies and more.

Snow S’more Food Truck

Why We Love It: They don’t have a permanent location, but you can find this mobile snow slinger at popular food truck events throughout the Oklahoma City metro. The menu features shaved ice with all the traditional syrups and a wide variety of s’mores, but our favorite is the S’more Cone, a delightful combination of shaved ice and ice cream topped with chocolate drizzle and a graham cracker.
