Located on Route 66, POPS has announced a label design contest for kids. The label of the lucky winner will appear on their new grape flavored soda. To participate in the contest, stop by POPS and pick up a children’s menu. Creatively design your label for the grape soda. Then return the design to POPS by November 20th to enter the contest.
“We are excited to see the children’s artwork,” said Marty Doepke, General Manager at POPS. “The winner will receive a $200 gift card and be able to see their design on the bottle of our new grape soda.”
If you haven’t been to POPS yet, venture out on Route 66 east of Edmond, OK and find out what you have been missing! POPS will welcome you with a giant 66 foot Pops soda bottle complete with straw. The signature Pops Soda Bottle with LED lighting has fast become an icon of the Mother Road. At night the LED lights transform the giant bottle into a magnificent light show. Opened in 2007, the building itself looks futuristic with ultra-modern fuel pumps out front.
Go on in and grab a seat at the counter and imagine yourself back in the 50’s with a soda fountain and hand dipped ice cream being blended into thick and creamy milkshakes. The restaurant serves a variety of outstanding road trip fare. From salads that feature crispy chicken, hickory smoked bacon, cheddar cheese and fried okra, to gourmet hamburgers, or chicken fried steak, Pops dishes up classic on the road favorites. Then grab a soda…the hardest part is deciding which one to pick. Stocking over 600 different sodas, Pops has a flavor to suit any taste.
