Oklahoma City family fun: Fall Break’s coming

Oklahoma City family fun keeps boredom at bay. School breaksrainy daysSundays: there’s never a dull moment.

School folders everywhere are coming home this week with the October calendar. Somewhere on that calendar, highlighted, underlined, circled in red, pointed out in some way, it’s there: Fall Break.

As parents, we know it’s coming and yet, I feel like it sneaks up on us every year. Spring Break, sure, but Fall Break? It’s Fall Break, then Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas. 2015 is over and my baby turns 1 and I am not ready for that. It’s all too fast, isn’t it? Maybe that’s just me, this year in particular, but the fact remains: we’re almost to Fall Break.

I wrote a post when we were just on the cusp of summer entitled “Keep calm and find a summer camp.” That same sense of urgency seems to double for fall somehow, the all-out “have to make a plan now” feeling. No worries: click here for MetroFamily’s list of Fall Break Classes,Camps and Activities.

Boredom? What’s that? There’s so much to do this season!

If you’re looking for family fun with a fall theme, check out these lists:

We’ll make it a great time, experience autumn, try something we haven’t in a year. No boredom here! The children in my house make sure of it and I’m willing to bet that’s the case at quite a few other homes too, no matter the season.
