Parents (and grandparents) are busy! We know it’s not easy to juggle all that life entails, so we put together a list of Parent & Child classes offered around the metro. These multi-tasking classes let you and your child get in some exercise, learn a new skill or simply have some fun together.

30-minute Parent & Tot classes focus on water adjustment, safety skills and breath control and equips parents with proper holds and safe submersion techniques to help their child to become confident in the water. Classes are open to age 4 – 30 mos.

Led by certified fitness professionals, the Boot Camp classes let moms bring their babies along while they exercise and enjoy a community of support. Classes take place at Andrews Park and the program also offers play dates and monthly Mom’s Nights Out.

In this Spanish immersion class, families learn key phrases and vocabulary through music, movement and play. Classes have a low student/teacher ratio and are offered two days a week.
Stroller Strides is a fitness program for moms that include power walking and strength and body toning exercises. Babies enjoy fun songs and other engaging activities. Classes are offered several times a week at various locations.

Every Tuesday, families are invited to join in on a FREE art experience through books. Enjoy a story time and a related art project for kids age 3 – 5 with a parent or guardian.

Classes provide parents and children under the age of 4 with a weekly parent/child time to rock, sing, clap, hug, roll, laugh and learn together. Activities are specifically designed so that they can be reproduced at home, creating lasting memories.

Help your little one be water safe at one of the school’s Mini swim lessons. With adult participation, babies from four to 15 mos get used to water play and build water safety skills along the way.

Gymboree programs help young children learn and develop as they play and help parents learn ways to participate in and encourage development through play together. Classes range from music and art to school skills and more.

Parent-Tot classes are designed for parents, or other caretakers, to partner with an instructors to help their baby learn floating, submersion, mouth closure and breath control, offering a gentler introduction to the Oklahoma Swim Academy program.

Metro Gymnastics has two ways parents and kids can have fun together. Whether you enroll in their Parent & Tot classes or enjoy their open gym time on Thursdays, parents can explore a variety of activities with their child, building physical and mental skills, while having fun together.
The Metropolitan Library Systems offers a wealth of activities for families. Enjoy a weekly story time or guided play time together! Their 123! Play with Me! program provides special one-on-one activities and community resource professionals answer parenting questions during the play time.

Music Together® mixed-age music classes foster a family-style learning environment that engages children at their own level, allowing them to vocalizing, moving, listening, observing and exploring musical instruments.

The museum offers a wide variety of family workshops each month. Classes target specific ages with engaging and age-appropriate activities and highlight a variety of techniques and art on display at the museum. The museum has special programs for babies and toddlers that offer complimentary coffee and social time for parents as well as playtime with age appropriate activities and a gallery tour.

This parent participation class aims to help kids with coordination, body awareness and jump-start their beginning motor skills through music and play. The class is 45 minutes and open to kids ages 12 – 17 mos.
With the help of a trained instructor, families engage in a variety of creativity-building fun including singing, dancing and more. Classes focus on different development stages from newborn to age 7 including kids with English as a second language and children with developmental challenges.

My Gym, a gym specifically design for children, offers age-appropriate classes to promote strength, coordination, self esteem and more while teaching the importance of a healthy lifestyle. With classes for kids as young as six week old, families enjoy developmentally-appropriate exercises, dancing, songs and more in a stimulating environment. Try out their PJ Masks-themed activities for a fun, superhero twist to stay active.

The Little Spanish Bridge encourages families to learn together. The full immersion parent/child classes use Montessori activities, songs, games, rhymes, exercising, pretending and more to engage cognitive, social and emotional skills with language skills.

SoccerCity OKC Lil Kickers Child Development program focuses on building a strong physical, intellectual and emotional foundation that will help children be successful on and off the soccer field. Parents and kids under 3 years old work together in a series of highly creative, high energy and age-appropriate activities that teach technically-sound soccer skills and help children master the developmental milestones.

This class is designed to provide little cowboys or cowgirls, ages 2 – 5, a chance to be around horses safely, and learn about them from a young age.

Tot Town hosts moms and their kids for a thirty minute low impact workout every week day. And, every Saturday, kids can try yoga poses or play while moms enjoy a yoga session with a certified instructor. Pre/postnatal yoga moms are welcome too. Best suited for kids ages 0-6.

While not a traditional class, Unpluggits Playstudio hosts Family & Friends Late Nights once a month, typically on the first Friday (please call ahead to verify). Families can paint and play while enjoying music and treasure hunts. Prices vary depending on the activities you chose.

Yoga Bliss offers Mommy & Me Yoga twice a week. Classes include fun songs, story time, meditation and relaxation as well as postures that strengthen the entire body with special emphasis on the pelvic floor & abdominal muscles.
