Role Overview: The Media Strategist will be responsible for business development activities leading to the securement and nurture of long-term relationships with clients, focusing on understanding their needs and offering tailored media solutions that drive their business success. A successful employee finds value in being a trusted partner who solves problems and creates value through strategic media planning and is someone who pays attention to detail and work with the MetroFamily ad delivery team to make sure all of their clients get what is promised and receive excellent ROI on their advertising investments.

Location: Remote but local to the Oklahoma City metro area
Type: Part-time with the potential to become full-time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospecting/Business Development/Sales
    • Research and identify new business opportunities in a wide range of industries, including new markets, growth areas and trends.
  • Client Relationship Management
    • Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with clients.
    • Conduct in-depth needs assessments to understand client goals and challenges.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact, ensuring clients receive top-notch service.
    • Manage client accounts using CRM tools, ensuring timely follow-ups and maintaining an organized pipeline of prospects and ongoing campaigns.
  • Media Strategy & Planning
    • Develop customized media strategies that align with client objectives.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to design and implement effective campaigns.
    • Monitor and analyze campaign performance, making adjustments as needed.
  • Sales & Revenue Growth
    • Initiate contact with potential clients via networking, email, cold calls and in-person meetings.
    • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional services.
    • Meet or exceed revenue targets through strategic sales efforts.
  • Project Coordination
    • Oversee the execution of client campaigns, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
    • Manage timelines, budgets, and client expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Provide regular updates and reports to clients on campaign progress and outcomes.
  • Professional Development
    • Stay informed about industry trends, media innovations, and best practices.
    • Continuously seek opportunities to improve skills and knowledge in media strategy.
    • Stay engaged with the local community, participating in events and networking opportunities to stay informed about local market trends and client needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated sales experience; media sales preferred.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute successful media strategies.
  • Strong understanding of media channels and their role in a holistic marketing strategy.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and media planning tools.
