Feel the Need to "Unplug" this Fall?

So, let's pretend like it hasn't been in the 80's for the last few days, and instead, concentrate on the fact that it is now November. Which, means, in theory, that it will start getting cool outside and we will need to seek indoor entertainment for our families. And with parks and many of our awesome outdoor venues off the list of possibilities until next spring, you may find yourself wondering where you can go to unplug the kids from the TV, have some active fun, and maybe even be creative at the same time? Fellow Weekend Warrior blogger Sara and I recently explored an indoor fun venue in Edmond that met all of those criteria and more.

Where to Go:

Unpluggits Playstudio in Edmond (575 Enterprise Drive, Edmond) is located just off Kelly south of 15th.  For us, it was the perfect combination of activities for our youngest children.  When you first walk into Unpluggits, you see many opportunities for creative fun. Paint n' Play admission is designed for kids age 18 months-10 years, and includes all types of artistic fun from painting, playdough and chalk tables, stamping and more. For a separate charge, you can also enjoying painting your own pottery, which includes all the paint and bling you need to create your own masterpiece.

Plus, when your kids are ready to burn off some energy, you can walk into Unpluggits indoor playground, complete with playtubes, a pirate's ship, dress-up clothes and a sand table.  Seating (and free WiFi)  is available for parents to relax while kids play, and a snack bar provides access to coffee, drinks, chips and cookies when you need a bit of refreshment. You are also welcome to bring in lunch, if you'd like to make a day of it!

Unpluggits is closed on Mondays, but is open Tuesday-Sunday.  See hours and admission info here.

What to Do:

Unpluggits is great because your $7 admission allows you to enjoy all day craft and playground fun—plus, you can add on special ceramics deals if you like. And, since it is all indoors, the weather is great year-round.

Unpluggits hosts a special Toddler Time each Tuesday morning from 10:30-11:00am, offering a special craft activity each week for little ones.  Also, be sure to check Unpluggits Calendar of Events for ongoing, themed Mommy & Me ceramics workshops and other fun activities.

And if you a date night planned, be sure to look into Unpluggits' monthly Parents Night Out, which provides an evening of crafts and fun for kids 4 & up for only $25.  (Siblings and friends can tag along for only $20!)

How to Save:

Lots of ways to save on admission to Unpluggits!

So, unplug and have fun next time you are near Unpluggits!
