We here at MetroFamily love opportunities to enjoy time with our family for a cause!

You're invited to attend the matinee performance of the Broadway spectacular, Phantom of the Opera next Thursday, August 28 at 2pm. Tickets are available at a special ticket price of $50 (a $20 savings) by entering the code FOOD. And $10 from each ticket sold at this special price for the Thursday matinee will benefit the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma's Food for Kids program that provides hungry children with kid-friendly food to eat on weekends and special holidays. Since the program's start in 2003, it has grown significantly — providing thousands of  backpacks throughout the academic school year.

If you have never seen the production of the Andrew Lloyd Webber classic Phantom of the Opera, you're in luck as it's coming to Oklahoma! Kicking off  the Oklahoma City Broadway season, this musical promises exciting special effects, fresh designs and new choreography.

Growing up, I can remember discussions about Phantom of the Opera, the unusual love story and amazing songs. Perhaps this is one of the many reasons it has become one of the longest running shows around the world. It's such a treat to have such high caliber productions coming to our Oklahoma City!

Note: This production is recommended for children ages 6 and up — at the discretion of the parent. All attendees must have a ticket.
