Description

Nature Explorers Preschool at the OKC Zoo is a fully accredited pre-school program for kids ages 2-5 providing hands-on outdoor activities that encourage children to make discoveries about the Zoo’s plants and animals. Outdoor and nature-based activities are important for helping students develop essential skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking, and teamwork. Nature Explorers adheres to the OKDHS childcare licensing standards, Oklahoma Early Learning Guidelines, Oklahoma Academic Standards for Pre-K, and school readiness skills. In this nurturing, natural space, children will learn about letters, numbers, colors, shapes, and more by exploring it all through nature!  The Nature Explorers Preschool is now located in a brand-new building with its own private entrance into the OKC Zoo!  In addition to taking daily hikes in the Zoo, students have their own nature-based outdoor learning area accessible from the new classrooms.
