3400 NE Grand Blvd,
Oklahoma City, OK 73111
Description

You can learn a lot about the history of railroading just by walking through the Museum or taking a ride on one of their trains — but if you really want the full experience, you're going to want a guide. Oklahoma Railway Museum can offer groups a guided tour of the Oklahoma Railway Museum with at least two weeks' notice. Their guides are volunteers who are passionate about the Museum and the history of railroads in America. They'll take you through the characteristics of all the equipment, artifacts, and buildings that are incorporated into the museum.

Reservations are required for all groups. You may arrange your visit by contacting the Museum in advance of the desired date. A donation of at least one dollar per person is requested. Bus drivers are admitted complimentary. Payment must be made in one lump sum for everyone in your tour group.

Through the Traveling Trunk program, you can also bring the Museum to your students. The Traveling Trunk is designed to teach children in grades Pre-K to 6th about railroading. Introduce your class to the history of America's rail transportation network with artifacts, activities, lesson plans, and toys that bring this rich tradition to life. You can pick up the Traveling Trunk for your classroom by giving a $25 refundable deposit. You can then keep the trunk for up to two weeks before returning it to the Oklahoma Railway Museum.
