Description

Heroes In Waiting is more than an anti-bullying program. They are a movement dedicated to the universal human rights of children everywhere, including the right to a safe environment to learn and grow. They unsubscribe to the labels of “bully” and “victim.” They understand that kids who engage in bullying behavior many times are acting out of their own trauma and fear and that both they and kids who are harassed need the loving support of peers and grownups.

Their FREE 12-lesson program for youth goes beyond basic anti-bullying information to incorporate currently understood principles and best practices for meeting children’s core needs of safety and belonging and cultivating an environment conducive to their social and emotional development.

Heroes in Waiting also offers high-energy, action-packed, anti-bullying and peace-building assemblies that show kids that it doesn't take superpowers, special equipment or special training to be a hero. The powerful message helps kids activate the hero within by being themselves, respecting and accepting others, and speaking up for their friends, especially when it's uncomfortable.
