Attending a drive-in movie is a favorite American activity. You just can’t beat the nostalgia of loading up in the family car and heading out to catch a movie under the stars. While drive-in movie theaters used to appear all over the map, numbers have dwindled in recent years. But don’t worry! We’ve done some research and found some fabulous drive-in movie theaters still operating in Oklahoma today.

Drive-in theaters in the Oklahoma City metro area:

Chief Drive-In (Hwy 81, Chickasha) shows a double feature on Thursday – Sunday. Open year-round. No outside concessions allowed. Adults, $8 (cash) $8.50 (card); kids (3-11), $5. Gates open at 7 p.m.; movie, dark. 405-224-1515.

Beacon Drive-In (2404 S. Division, Guthrie) shows a single feature. Stop by early on Saturdays for the Guthrie Flea Market from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Adults, $7; kids (3-11), $4. Cash only. Open every night, 8 p.m.; movie starts at dusk. 405-282-4512.  

Winchester Drive-In (6930 S. Western Ave) is open Friday-Saturday. No outside food or drinks allowed. Adults, $7; kids (3-10), $3. Cash only. Gates open at 7 p.m. 405-631-8852.

Drive-in theaters throughout Oklahoma:

Tower Drive-In (2214 N Broadway, Poteau) is a digital drive-in movie theater focusing on fun, unique, family entertainment. Show times & days change seasonally. Check Facebook page for more details and special deals. Adults, $9; kids, $5. Movies start at dark. 918-647-3606.

Admiral Twin Drive-In (7355 E Easton, Tulsa) offers two 9-story screens showing a nightly double feature. No outside food or drink allowed. Concession features a full kitchen offering hamburgers, popcorn and more. Adults, $7; kids (3-11), $3. Movies start at dark. 918-878-8099.

EL-CO Drive-In (501 N Main St, Shattuck) shows a single feature Friday & Saturday. Theater requests no outside food or drink. Adults, $6; kids, $5. Movies start at 9:30 p.m. 580-938-2290

Tee Pee Drive-In (13166 W Ozark Trail, Sulphur) has been newly renovated to include an amphitheater, retro playground and rock-climbing area. Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for kids. Double features typically start at 8 p.m. 918-248-8243
