It’s #PrideMonth and metro organizations are celebrating in support of the LGBTQ+ community! Here are three family-friendly events happening in the OKC metro.
FREE Pride! on the Plaza in the Plaza District (1700 block of NW 16th) features an artist market, drag shows, live music by Poetry and Chill, Velvet Monkey Salon’s Fashion Show and more. Participating organizations include Bright Eyes Family Services, Free Mom Hugs, OKC Pride Alliance, OKC Pride Inc. and Pivot, Inc. 6 – 10 p.m.
OKC Energy vs Birmingham Legion FC – Pride Night with the Energy at Taft Stadium (2631 N May Ave). The Energy take on the Birmingham Legion FC. Matchday activities will include various displays of support for the LDBTQ+ community and special merchandise will also be available. $13 & up. 7:30 p.m.

FREE OKC Pridefest & Parade at Scissortail Park (415 S Robinson Ave) features a historic event that will encompass music, film, and art in a new way and will have a kids’ zone, vendor marketplace and roller rink & dance floor. Elements of the festival will also be presented in a virtual format for those who aren’t comfortable attending the in-person events. The Alliance’s parade will begin Saturday at 10 a.m. on West Sheridan at North Shartel and turn south onto Hudson. It will continue south on Hudson and will end at Scissortail Park. Festival hours are Friday, 5-11 p.m.; Saturday, noon-11 p.m.; Sunday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. See website for a complete schedule of events.
Love Run at Social Capital (517 S Hudson Ave) features a 5K & 10K race and post-race festivities to celebrate the spirit of inclusivity. The race benefits HeartLine, Inc. Rainbow costumes encouraged. Virtual race option also available. $35 & up. 8 a.m.
