It’s #PrideMonth and metro organizations are celebrating in support of the LGBTQ+ community! Here are family-friendly events happening in the OKC metro, plus a date night idea.

June 1

FREE OKC Pride Alliance Annual Pride Month Opening Ceremonies at Myriad Gardens (301 W Reno Ave) features a community gathering to celebrate the beginning of Pride Month. 7-9 p.m.

June 9

FREE PRIDE! on the Plaza in the Plaza District (1700 block of NW 16th) features art shows, live entertainment, great food and local shopping. 6 – 10 p.m.

June 15

Sip & Stroll Pride Night at the OKC Zoo (2000 Remington Pl) features exclusive experiences such as animal feedings, sea lion presentations and specialty drinks. June’s event will also feature a drag show. For ages 21 & up. $17 & up. 6-10 p.m.

June 17

Pride on 9th in Automobile Alley (25 NW 9th St) features Pride-themed drinks, eats, giveaways, dancing, photo shoots and more. 11 a.m.-midnight.

June 23-25

FREE OKC Pridefest & Parade at Scissortail Park (415 S Robinson Ave) features a three-day festival with art, music, a parade and more. The annual Pride Alliance downtown Pride Parade will take place at 11 a.m. on Sunday. See website for a complete schedule of events.

June 24

The Royal Resistance at Scissortail Park at Scissortail Park (415 S Robinson Ave) features a youth pageant and drag performance contest for ages 13-20. Participants must preregister. 2:30 p.m.

Love Run at Social Capital (517 S Hudson Ave) features a 5K & 10K race and post-race festivities to celebrate the spirit of inclusivity. Rainbow costumes are encouraged. $35 & up. 8 a.m.
