Back to Earth is a nature-based educational program serving Oklahoma City. Inspired by the desire to nurture children as whole beings, the curriculum strives to ground children through rhythm and movement while making space for the child’s natural sense of wonder and plenty of space for rest and family time. Back to Earth offers three programs:
- In a three-day homeschool hybrid program for grades K-4th, children will enjoy a home-like environment, abundant time outdoors, and a focus on core subjects and arts.
- The Forest School Class is a weekly program for children ages 3-10. They spend most of their time outdoors (rain or shine). The children enjoy a gentle rhythm including free play, crafting, outdoor cooking, and tending the garden.
- A parent-tot group meets weekly. During this class, caregivers and parents enjoy each other’s company while their little ones play freely in the space. Leigh Patton discusses the art of parenting, creating rhythm, as well as child development. Ages 0-4 are welcome.
Back to Earth also offers summer camps that explore nature and are open to ages 3 to 8.
