FREE Wide-Open Wednesdays at National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum (1700 NE 63rd St) features complimentary admission every Wednesday through Nov. 15. 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
FREE Midwest Summer Fest at Charles Johnson Park (29th & Mid-America Blvd, Midwest City) features live entertainment, an outdoor screening of E.T., yard games, food trucks and more. 6 – 11:30 p.m.
FREE Soar 2017 Touch-a-Plane at the Purcell Airport (1420 Chandler Rd, Purcell) features several small planes and helicopters, bounce houses, face painting, a DJ, food trucks and a raffle. Benefits Luggage with Love. 9 a.m. – noon.
FREE Back to School Bash in Bricktown (Bricktown Canal) features bouncy houses, live music, food, face painting, super heroes, outdoor games including Corn Hole, Giant Chess, Giant Checkers, Tick-Tac-Toe, water games, rubber ducky race and more. Noon – 4:30 p.m.
FREE Cat Video Festival at Myriad Gardens (301 W Reno Ave) features a collection of the Internet's finest cat videos as well as food trucks, live music and more. Benefits local cat charities, animal welfare organizations and shelters. Pre-show fun, 6 p.m.; Movie, 9 p.m.
FREE International Geocaching Day Activities at the Yukon Community Center (2200 S Holly Ave, Yukon). Learn what geocaching is and how to create caches and hunt for caches in the park. All ages welcome. 10 a.m. – noon.
FREE Midwest City Splash n’ Dash at Reno Swim and Slide (101 S Douglas Blvd, Midwest City) features a non-competitive biathlon-type event with a fun run and swim. For ages 7-12. Preregister. 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.

FREE Oklahoma County Free Fair at State Fair Park (3001 General Pershing Blvd) features a variety of exhibits and contests as well as a kiddy tractor pull, indoor carnival and HoHo’s Central Oklahoma Clown Alley. Friday, 2 - 7 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. - noon.
FREE AMP Festival in Automobile Alley (9th St) celebrates art and music created by powerful women from a variety of mediums and genres. Bring your lawn chairs or blankets and eat, play, shop, drink and listen to live music. Benefits OKC Rock N Roll Camp For Girls and Oklahoma City Girls Art School. Noon – 8 p.m.
FREE Rock the Route: Route 66 Anniversary Celebration in Yukon (Main St between 4th & 5th St, Yukon) features live music, food trucks, shopping, family activities and more. 6 – 11 p.m.
