Its easy to have fun all month long at any one of these family fun events. The best part is that all these fun things to do are completely FREE!

FREE Art Adventures at Fred Jones Jr Museum of Art (555 Elm, Norman) features a story and hand-on art project built around a weekly theme. For ages 3-5 with adult. 10:30 a.m.
FREE First Mondays for Kids at Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History (2401 Chautauqua Ave, Norman) offers complimentary admission for kids 17 & under. General admission does apply to guests 18 and older. Adults, $8; seniors (65+), $6; kids (17 & under), FREE. 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Jan. 3 & 4
FREE Monthly Mini Model Build at the LEGO Store in Penn Square Mall (1901 NW Expressway) features a LEGO Narwhal build. The mini model must be completely built in store. Registration is on a first come first serve basis and quantities are limited. 5 p.m.
FREE First Friday Gallery Walk in Paseo District (NW 30th & 27th St, Walker & Hudson Ave) feature local artists, special themed exhibits, refreshments, live music and food trucks. 6 – 10 p.m.
FREE Saturdays for Kids at National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum (1700 NE 63rd St). Kids can decorate a saddle bag to hold a “bucket list” of ideas for the New Year. Designed for children ages 4 – 12. Preregister. 10 a.m. - noon.
FREE 2nd Friday Norman Art Walk in the Norman Arts District (downtown Norman) features a monthly celebration of the arts in Norman. 6 – 9 p.m.
LIVE on the Plaza in the Plaza District (1700 block of NW 16th St) features artists, live music, special events, local shopping and more on the second Friday of the month. 7 – 11 p.m.
FREE Family Make + Take at Oklahoma Contemporary (3000 General Pershing Blvd) features an art-making project inspired by works of art on view at the museum. Projects are designed to be accessible and fun for visitors of all ages and all levels of art-making experience. All children must be accompanied by an adult. 1 – 4 p.m.
FREE Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration in Oklahoma City (various locations) features a parade, silent march, bell ringing, job fair and more. The events are inclusive of all races, creeds, nationalities and religions. See website for a complete schedule of events.
FREE Snowy Science Experiments at the Edmond Library (10 S Boulevard, Edmond) feature a hands-on winter science lad to answer questions like how do snowflakes form or what makes ice melt so quickly. Preregister. Best suited for ages 5 - 12. 4:30 - 5:15 p.m.
