Oklahoma City is alive with fun, family entertainment around every corner and we've hand-picked the top 10 FREE events happening across the metro this month.  Its easy to have fun all month long at any one of these family fun events. The best part is that all these fun things to do are completely FREE!

Here are our picks of the top 10 FREE things to do this March:

Weekly

FREE Tours at the Oklahoma Governor’s Mansion (820 NE 23rd St). Visitors can get an up-close look at many of the unique features and items such as the Oklahoma-shaped pool, chairs in the formal dining room stitched by former senators’ wives and, in the main entrance, a replica punch bowl from the U.S.S. Oklahoma. Reservations are required. Wednesdays, noon – 3 p.m.

March 4

FREE Kids’ Trout Fish Out at the Dale Robertson Center (1200 Lakeshore Dr, Yukon) features a fishing derby for young anglers. Kids can win awards for largest and smallest fish. 8 – 11 a.m.

March 10

FREE Movie Night @ the Park at the MAC at Mitch Park (1501 W Covell Rd, Edmond) features a screening of The Secret Life of Pets. Admission is FREE and concessions are $1. 7 p.m.

March 13 – 19

FREE Three Sisters Spring Celebration at the Chickasaw Cultural Center (867 Cooper Memorial Dr, Sulphut) features daily festivities and special events that welcome the spring season including cultural demonstrators about 18th-century Chickasaw life in the living village, test their skills at traditional games including stickball and archery, enjoy a series of family-friendly films and more. Theatre admission applies. Monday- Saturday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.; Sunday, Noon - 5 p.m.

March 14 - 17

FREE Making History Crafts at Edmond Historical Society & Museum (431 S Boulevard, Edmond) features story time and crafts about Oklahoma Nature. All ages welcome. Activities will be available while supplies last or until 2 p.m. each day. Story times are at 10:30 a.m. & 2 p.m. every day.

March 15

FREE Bug Fest at the Norman Central Library (225 N Webster Ave, Norman) features lots of creepy crawlies in a live insect petting zoo, crafts and bug exhibits to showcase the insect world. 9 a.m. – noon.

March 18

FREE St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Oklahoma City (Downtown & Bricktown) features decorated floats, animals, antique tractors, civic clubs, clowns, motorcycles and more. 11 a.m.

March 25

FREE OKC Dodgers Fan Fest at the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark (2 S Mickey Mantle Dr) features an hot dog eating contest, autograph sessions, behind-the-scenes tours of the ballpark, homerun derby, batting practice in the indoor team batting cages and more. There will also be plenty of family-friendly activities, including inflatable games, face painter and more. 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.

March 30

FREE The Wright Brothers Musical Biography at the Northwest Library (5600 NW 122nd St) features the story of Wilbur and Orville Wright, America’s pioneers of aviation. Best suited for ages 5 & up. 7 – 8 p.m.
