There’s no question reading aloud is good for your kids. In fact, research shows kids benefit from being read to as early as birth! Lucky for you, Oklahoma City boasts plenty of opportunities for your kids to hear their favorite books in new and exciting settings. Here are some story times throughout the Oklahoma City metro for kids of all ages. For more read-aloud opportunities, see our list of best story times in the metro as voted by our readers and our editor’s picks for sensational story times.

This list is generously sponsored by the Metropolitan Library System. The Metropolitan Library System has 19 libraries in Oklahoma County. With programs such as the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten challenge and frequent story times, MLS offers a wide variety of developmentally appropriate programming for children of all ages, parents and caregivers.
