Description

Young anglers can get “Hooked on Fishing” with the Oklahoma City Parks & Recreation Department’s FREE summer fishing classes for youth. Classes run on select Saturdays in May, June and July. Classes take place from 8 to 10:30 a.m. at various local fishing waters.

Young anglers learn fishing basics including knot-tying, casting, fish identification, angler ethics and fishing regulations.

Classes are open to boys and girls 5 to 15 years old.  All participants must be accompanied by an adult.  No State License or City Permits required during class hours. Class is catch and release. Poles, tackle and bait are provided during the class.
