Chisholm Trail Heritage Center

1000 Chisholm Trail Pkwy,
Duncan, OK 73533
Description

It’s an adventure when you visit the Chisholm Trail Heritage Center in Duncan! The not-your-average-rusty-dusty museum experience is great for kids and kids at heart. Enjoy interactive exhibits including a multi-sensory experience theater, where you can feel the cattle stampede during a lightning storm and the wind blow over the prairie, and a multi-million dollar art gallery.

Children can explore an interactive zone where they can climb in a saddle and rope a longhorn, or stamp out their own brand and push buttons to hear songs, see movies and play the trail boss game. A diorama also comes to life for children as they push buttons to hear a bobcat howl, or the buffalo emit a grumbling grunt and the hiss of a rattlesnake (no worries, it can’t hurt you!).

True West Magazine has deemed the facility a Top Ten Western Museum and the Oklahoma Travel Industry Association named the museum as an Outstanding Attraction.
