Family-Friendly Street Festivals & Block Parties

Spring and summer bring endless opportunities for outdoor fun to the Oklahoma City metro. Communities in the metro host exciting events filled with live music, local food and activities for guests of all ages. Grab your family and take part in bustling street festivals in your community.

FREE VIBES Artwalk in Downtown Edmond (Broadway from 2nd to Edwards St, Edmond) features a variety of creative talent hosted in participating businesses. All artists are partnered with businesses to provide fifteen blocks of art experiences. The event kicks off on the first Thursday in April and continues until October. 6-9 p.m.

FREE First Friday Gallery Walk in the Paseo Arts District (NW 30th & 27th Streets, Walker and Hudson Ave) features local artists and businesses, all within walking distance, that stay open late the first Friday of every month. Opening receptions showcase the new work of the gallery and studio owners or the work of guest artists and families can enjoy live entertainment. 6-9 p.m.

FREE 2nd Friday Norman Art Walk in the Walker Arts District (Downtown Norman) features a variety of visual and performing arts at participating galleries and businesses. Second Friday, 6 – 9 p.m.

FREE LIVE on the Plaza in the Plaza District (1700 block of NW 16th St). Plaza District businesses stay open late with featured artists, live music, special events, local shopping and more. Second Friday, March-October, 6 – 10 p.m. Second Sunday, November-February, noon-4 p.m.

FREE Heard on Hurd in Downtown Edmond (Broadway between Main and Hurd) is a pop-up celebration of all things local featuring local musicians and some of the metro’s best food trucks. Small businesses stay open late for shopping. Entry and most activities are free. Held seasonally on the third Saturday of March-October, 6-10 p.m.

FREE oNE OKC Street Festival at Booker T. Washington Park (NE 4th St) is an annual spring block party celebrating the ethical revitalization of Northeast Oklahoma City. Attendees can enjoy musical performances, food trucks, activities for kids and more. The festival usually takes place in early May.
