February is the perfect time to show your family some love by attending fun events together! Oklahoma City boasts plenty of opportunities for family fun and we've rounded up the top experiences that are totally free. From thrilling ongoing museum displays to exciting one-day events, this list has it all. Free Mondays at the Oklahoma City Zoo (2000 Remington Pl) offers free admission every Monday through Feb. 23. 

Bringing Books to Life at Myriad Botanical Gardens (301 W Reno) features a seasonal, nature themed story time and craft. Wednesdays, 10 to 11 a.m. 



FREE Monkey Do Fine Art Exhibit at the Crystal Bridge Conservatory (301 W Reno) features Oklahoma City artist Matt Goad’s paintings of animals and nature that draw inspiration from classic graphic design and pop art reproduction of the mid-20th century. On display through Feb. 27 in the south lobby. Monday-Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. 


Feb. 3

FREE Admission to the Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History (2401 Chautauqua Ave, Norman) is a family-friendly event featuring complimentary admission to the museum the first Monday of every month. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. 


Feb. 8 & 22

FREE Eagle Watch at Lake Thunderbird (1201 Clear Bay Ave) features a guided tour of the best spots in the park to catch a glimpse of magnificent eagles in their winter home. Be sure to bring your binoculars and dress appropriately. Preregister. 1 p.m. 


Feb. 7 & 21

FREE Story Hour at Cuppies & Joe (727 NW 23rd St) on the first & third Saturday of each month, children can listen to a story while parents enjoy coffee & conversation. 10 to 11 a.m. 


Feb. 11

FREE Fancy Nancy & Fly Guy Dance Party at the Moore Public Library (225 S. Howard Ave, Moore) features a dance party and crafts. 4:30 to 9 p.m. 


Feb. 14

21st Annual Mardi Gras Parade in Norman (Main St and Jones, Norman) marches, rain or shine, to the theme of “Pop's Wonderful World” in honor of Louis Armstrong. 7 to 9 p.m. 

Bart & Nadia Sports Experience at Cox Convention Center (1 Myriad Gardens) offers sports, fitness, and health activities to encourage families to take ownership of their health. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. 


Feb. 21

3rd Annual Daddy Daughter Dance at the Purcell Public School Administration Building (919 N 9th St, Purcell) features a photo booth, music, dancing, door prizes, and delicious food. Preregister. Six tickets per adult limit. 6 to 8 p.m.
